The absence of a longitudinal carinae on the elytra in this species justifies its transference to Ozineus . Material examined . In addition to the characters mentioned in the key, the general appearance of the elytra of Ozineus albidus ( Monné, 2009 ) also resembles that of O. alienus Melzer, 1932 ( Fig. 4 ), but differs as follows: scape covered with brown pubescence; pronotum with brown pubescence with two anteromedian spots covered with dark-brown pubescence; pro-, meso- and metatarsi I with grayish-white pubescence. In O. alienus , the scape is bicolored, covered with whitish and dark-brown pubescence; the pronotum is covered with yellowish pubescence except for the whitish posterior margin; and the tarsi are covered with dark-brown pubescence.
