We examined two male syntypes [SMNS, MNHN]. Although this species has a rather elongate abdomen, which is atypical for
Cephalochrysa
, it also has the male eyes holoptic with separated large and small ommatidia. Because of the eye morphology we place this species in
Cephalochrysa
. The species was listed under the “unplaced species of
Sarginae
” in
Woodley (2001: 230)
.
