Diagnosis.
This species can be recognized in
Australia
by the diagnostic features of the genus as well as its wing patterning (
Fig. 19
).
Distribution.
Northern Queensland and New
Guinea
(
Fig. 20
).
Remarks.
Wygodzinsky (1966)
described this species as occurring only in New
Guinea
, though he remarks that a second species is known, but not described, from
Australia
. Our observations suggest that all Australian material from this genus appears to be conspecific with
M. papua
.
