COMMENTS: Hartert based his description on a single male specimen from Yelwa, but said that another specimen from Rabba on the
Niger
in BMNH probably belonged to the same taxon.
Hartert used the spelling
Hypochaera
in his description of
H. wilsoni
as a full species, not as a subspecies of
H. furnerea
as in
Fry and Keith (2004: 439)
.
