Cheonan-si ( 36°45′18.01″N , 127° 17′59.03″E ), Korea ; collected by JH Lee on 1 December 2014 . Deposition. NIBRIV0000879695. World distribution. Cosmopolitan. Diagnosis. Body smooth without papillate. No eyes. Ventral chaetae of II, 5 - 7 per bundle, with upper tooth 1.5 times longer than lower one ( Fig. 7A ), teeth length becoming gradually equal. Hair chaetae absent. Dorsal chaetae beginning from V , with upper teeth longer than lower, slightly thinner than ventral chaetae ( Fig. 7B ). Coelomocytes present. Fig. 8. Scale bar = 200 μm. Remarks. Paranais litoralis has been first recorded from Japan by Kondo (1936) and Yamaguchi (1953) . This species is common in brackish water, and freshwater courses receiving saline pollution ( Van Haaren and Soors, 2012 ). The collected site is a spring water pool that is connected to the sea.
