Sowerby III (1910: 58), Preston (1915: 97) , Annandale (1920a: 5) , Alderson (1925: 70) , Prashad (1925: 70) , Keawjam (1986: 63) , Subba Rao (1989 : 58) and Jahan et al . (2001 : 581), in Pila . Listed, incorrectly, from Siam and near Bangkok [ Thailand ] by Martens (1860: 12) and Morelet (1875: 289) , respectively. globosa Ampullaria speciosa variété globosa Germain, 1905b : 328 [1907d: 531, text fig. 90]. Type material —location unknown. Type locality —“Bords du Congo , près Stanley-Pool” [Banks of the Congo , near Malebo Pool]. Remarks . Junior primary homonym of globosa Swainson. Synonym of wernei Philippi , teste Pain (1961: 18) . + gordoni Ampullaria Gordoni Smith, 1892 : 382 . Type material — holotype [by monotypy: “The single shell”]: NHMUK 1892.8.27.4. Type locality —“Victoria Nyanza (south end?)”. Distribution — Uganda , various locations ( Pain 1961: 14–15 ). Remarks . Valid species, teste G.B.
