Scales (mm): A = 2.0; F = 0.2; B, C, D, E, G, H, I = 0.5. Type material. Holotype : China : 1 ♂ , labeled ‘ CHINA : Yunnan Prov., Xishuangbanna (西双版纳), Nabanhe N. R. (纳 版河自然保护区), 18.vi.2009 , Ling-Zeng Meng leg.’; HOLOTYPE [red], Zyras nabanensis , Yan & Li det. 2015, ( SNUC ); Paratype : 1 ♀, same label as above-mentioned, PARATYPE [yellow], Zyras nabanensis , Yan & Li det. 2015, ( SNUC ). Description. Body length: 9.45–9.78 mm . Coloration: head, elytra, blackish; pronotum reddish; abdomen blackish with the posterior margins of the segments reddish-brown; legs and antennae reddish to reddish-brown. Head ( Fig. 2 A) approximately 1.22 times as long as wide; punctation sparse in median dorsal area, moderately sparse in lateral and posterior areas; eyes medium large and bulging, just 1.25 times as long as postocular region in dorsal view; Antennae not distinctly flattened and short, can almost reaching posterior margin of pronotum when directed caudad; antennomere III distinctly dilated apically, nearly twice as long as wide; Pronotum ( Fig. 2 A) squared, approximately 1.13 times as wide as head and 1.14 times as wide as long; punctation distinctly denser and coarser than that of head. Elytra dilated posteriad, at posterior margin approximately 1.27 times as wide, and at suture as long as pronotum ( Fig. 2 A); punctation conspicuously dense and defined, but finer than that of pronotum. Hind wings fully developed. Abdomen ( Fig. 2 A) approximately as wide as elytra at posterior margin, widest at segment V; microsculpture present, but mostly shallow; punctation fine and moderately dense; tergites IV and VII with pronounced sexual dimorphism. Male: tergite IV conspicuously modified, posterior margin elongated and on either side with long and acute process ( Fig. 2 A); paratergite with two pair of short processes; tergite VII at posterior margin with pronounced tubercle ( Fig. 2 A); posterior margin of tergite VIII in the middle slightly concaved. aedeagus ( Figs. 2 G, 2H, 2I ) with conspicuous processes. Female: tergites IV, and VII unmodified; posterior margin of tergite VIII in the middle concave; spermatheca as in Fig. 2 F. Measurements. BL: 8.45–9.78; FBL: 4.06–4.56; HW: 1.20–1.22; PL: 1.44–1.50; PW: 1.66–1.70; EL: 1.39–1.57; EW: 2.30–2.33. Distribution. China : Yunnan. Etymology. The specific epithet derives from the name of the type locality. Comment. Based on the shape and coloration of body, the new species is similar to the Zyras ( Termidonia ) rougemonti Pace, 1986 . The new species can be distinguished from Z. ( T. ) rougemonti by having a cambered convex between two processes of the tergite IV, and by different sharp of the apico-lateral processes of median lobe of the aedeagus (in Z. ( T. ) rougemonti with a barb at apex in lateral view).
