DISTRIBUTION. — The species is known from much of the New World tropics being reported from Mexico , Honduras , Guatemala , Nicaragua , Panama , French Guiana, Colombia , Venezuela , Ecuador , Peru , Brazil , and Argentina ( Metcalf 1963a ; Duffels & van der Laan 1985 ; Sanborn et al. 1995a ; Sanborn 2006 , 2007a , b, 2010a; Thouvenot 2007b ).
