Discrete rostrum lacking, anterior margin of cephalon slightly concave between antennular bases. Pleotelson very slightly longer than greatest width, lateral margin with about ten spines. Ommatidia arranged roughly in circle. Dorsum with scattered red-brown pigmentation, not in any clearly de ned pattern. Pereopod 1 in female with propodus distally broadly expanded, palm convex, with row of about 14 short serrate setae, single strong articulated posterodistal robust seta. Operculum of female with slit in distal third. Etymology. The speci c name refers to the serrate lateral margins of the pleotelson.
