Relation to host
: A vagrant on the lower leaf surface. No apparent damage was observed.
Remarks
: This new species is close to
C. millettiae
Huang
et al.
, 1996
by they shield design with admedian line subparallel. This new species differs from
C. millettiae
by the following characters: shield design with a transverse line at apical 1/6, extending along anterior margin, epigynium with longitudinal ridges, and the 4-rayed empodium. There are 8 out of 16 species of
Colopodacus
occur in
Taiwan
. Species of this genus mostly occur in subtropical and tropical areas of northern hemisphere, but only one species record in southern hemisphere.
Etymology
: This new name means “parallel” in reference to the parallel admedian lines.
