Examination of the male genitalia of a
paratype
male from the collections of the
U.S.
National Museum of Natural History indicates that this is not a
Plagiognathus
species.
The size and conformation of the body are quite similar to
Phymatopsallus
,
although the genitalia are not of that type (fig. 40).
