Afrotropical Limnophora Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera, Muscidae) with the description of four new species Author Couri, Márcia Author Pont, Adrian text Zootaxa 2017 4216 6 501 536 journal article 37328 10.5281/zenodo.242395 92230737-0e1b-4d86-9c80-6562b0f1793e 1175-5326 242395 FF708257-E9A3-4C91-AD18-50326BB9676A Limnophora trisetalis ( Zielke, 1971b: 181 ) . Holotype female in NMSA (not seen). Diagnosis. 2 pairs of reclinate orbitals; acrostichals in 4 irregular rows; dorsocentrals 2+3 (as in Zielke’s diagnosis, although he gives 2+ 4 in the description); katepisternals 1+2; fore tibia without a submedian posterior seta; mid femur with 2 posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae; hind femur with 2 anteroventral setae, in apical third; abdomen grey, but syntergite 1+2 and tergites 3 and 4 with each with a pair of brown spots. Notes. Originally described in Spilogona , but it has setulae on the prosternum and a setula at the base of vein R4+5 on both wing surfaces, and so it clearly belongs to Limnophora .
