Diagnosis.
Basiphytous or rhizophytous saccular body. Prostalia lateralia absent or as long diactins or raised pentactins. Choanosomal spicules are diactins. Hypodermalia are pentactins; hypoatrialia are hexactins, when present. Dermalia are mostly diactins, atrialia are hexactins. Microscleres are strobiloplumicomes and oxyoidal: hemioxyhexasters, oxyhexasters and oxyhexactins. (emended from
