[undoubtedly this is Misión San Pedro Mártir, ± 30°45’N , 115°16’W , 1630 m ], 17 & 27-VIII-58 , E.L. Sleeper (CAS, CLBC); 3.3 mi S El Condor, 1-IX-81 , D.K. Faulkner (SDMC). This sexually dimorphic species has been recorded from British Columbia to California, east to Idaho, Colorado and New Mexico . Although it has not been reared, it is almost exclusively taken on Ericameria nauseosa (Pallas ex Pursh) G.L. Nesom & Baird (formerly Chrysothamnus , Asteraceae ), which is presumed to be its larval host.
