Comment
Philonthus bisignatus
is widespread in the Afrotropical region. It had been unknown from the Palaearctic region sensu
SMETANA (2004)
until it was recently recorded from
Yemen
for the first time (ASSING 2012). The above specimens represent the first records from
Saudi Arabia
and the second record from the Palaearctic region.
