Several specimens, some photographed, in Bayur and Maninjau, Province of Sumatera Barat, and Tigapulan Mts., Province of Riau. Taxonomic comments . This species is widespread throughout Sumatra. Distribution on Sumatra . Provinces of Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Jambi, Sumatera Barat, Riau, Bengkulu, Sumatera Selatan, and Lampung; also the islands of Engano, Nias and Simeulue, and Riau Archipelago ( De Rooij, 1915 ; Y . Laumonier, pers. comm., 1998; this work). Biology . One of the most frequently observed lizards at day time, this species has been found in gardens, cultivated areas and along forest edges both in August and November.
