Medium-sized snail (shell up to 20 mm high). Shell is thin, light, horny and translucent. A weak lip can be found inside the aperture, on occasions. Palearctic species preferring stagnant and slow-flowing waters, rich with vegetation, and muddy, gravel or rocky substrate ( Welter-Schultes 2012 ; Glöer 2019 ). In Serbia , it was found in the Danube, Sava, Tisza, Begej, Zapadna Morava and Nišava Rivers, DTD canal system, and in Zasavica Wetland. Other remarks . Shell morphology very variable ( Schniebs et al. 2011 ; Glöer 2019 ). On the IUCN Red List of threatened species, it has been assessed as LC (Vavrova 2011 b ). Genus Peregriana Servain, 1882
