It was described from “headwaters of the Columbia River, at Upper Columbia Lake, in the East Kootenay District of British Columbia ” ( Whiteaves 1905: 61–62 , pl. 2 figs 11–12). Attempts to recollect it at the type locality and nearby sites were unsuccessful ( Frest & Johannes 2010 ), and it is known only from the type material ( Fig. 27A ). It is considered a mislocalized specimen of the eastern North American pleurocerid, Elimia livescens (Menke, 1830) ( Walker 1918 ; Goodrich 1937 , 1942 ; LaRocque 1953 ; Frest & Johannes 2010 ).
