Ecology and distribution.
In the Eastern Atlantic
A. grandisquama
has been recorded from
Iceland
south to the Azores and
Cape Verde
Islands at depths of
861–1635 m
(
Paterson 1985
). In the Gulf of Cadiz it was collected from carbonate chimneys and crusts at shallower depths (
508–610 m
) (
