Male : unknown Etymology The name corvinae refers to the specific name of the host Corvinella corvina Differential diagnosis Syringophilopsis corvinae sp. n. is most similar to Syringophilopsis yosefi Skoracki, Tryjanowski, Hromada, 2002 from Lanius sp. ( Laniidae ) by having the following characters: the setae d4 and d5 are short; hypostomal apices is with two pairs of median protuberances; pygidial plate is present; total body length is longer than 1000. The new species is distinguishable from S. yosefi by the presence of following characters: In the female S. corvinae sp. n. propodosomal plate is slightly ornamented ( Fig. 9 ); pygidial plate is concave on anterior margin ( Fig. 10 ); distances between setal bases vivi and scid1 are 115 130 and 90105 respectively (ratio vivi:scid1 is 1,2:1); distances between setal bases 1c 1c , 2c2c and 1c2c are 125140, 145175 and 120130 respectively (ratio 1c1c:1c2c:2c 2c is 1,1:1:1,3); the epimeres I are fused to epimeres II at middle part of epimeres II ( Fig. 11 ); the legs III are thick ( Fig. 12 ) the length of tarsus III is 46; the width of trochanter III is 4148; ratio wide of trochanter III: length of trochanter III is 1:0,91,1. In the female S. yosefi ( type material) propodosomal plate is strongly ornamented ( Fig. 13 ); pygidial plate is convex on anterior margin ( Fig. 14 ); distances between setal bases vivi and scid1 are 9095 and 125140 respectively (ratio vivi:scid1 is 1:1,4); distances between setal bases 1c1c , 2c2c and 1c2c are 9095, 105130 and 145165 respectively (ratio 1c1c:1c2c:2c2c is 1:1,51,8:1,21,4); the epimeres I are fused to epimeres II at anterior part of epimeres II ( Fig. 15 ); the legs III are thin ( Fig. 12 ) the length of tarsus III is 5560; the width of trochanter III is 30; ratio wide of trochanter III: length of trochanter III is 1:1,5.
