Diagnostic characters.
The imago is characterized by a setose vein R1, a finger-like inferior volsella and a broad anal point.
Male imago (n = 1). Total length
2.35 mm
. Wing length
1.52 mm
. Total length / wing length 1.55. Wing length / length of profemur 2.63. Coloration black brown.
Head.
Ultimate flagellomere with apical seta. AR 1.56. Clypeus with 10 setae. Tentorium 150 Μm long. Stipes 154 Μm long. Palpomere lengths (in Μm): 33; 44; 128;–;–. Third segment without finger-like apical extension.
Thorax.
Dorsocentrals 18, antepronotals 5, acrostichals 8, prealars 6, scutellars 8.
Wing.
Anal lobe developed. Punctation not visible at 100x magnification. Costal extension 38 Μm long. Brachiolum with 1 seta; R with 10 setae; R1 with 8 setae; remaining veins bare. Cu1 slightly curved. Squama with 6 setae.
Legs.
Spur of front tibia 51 Μm long, spurs of middle tibia 44 Μm and 15 Μm long, the second spur of hind tibia 15 Μm long.
Hind
tibial comb with 18 setae. All tibial spurs with lateral denticles. 4th tarsomere obviously longer than 5th tarsomere in all legs. Lengths and proportions of legs as in Table 4.

Hypopygium
(Fig. 8). Anal point broad, 24 Μm long, 40 Μm wide. Anal tergite visible in lateral view. Tergite IX
with 7 setae. Laterosternite IX with 11 setae. Phallapodeme 108 Μm long. Virga absent. Gonocoxite 189 Μm long. Inferior volsella finger-like, with several short setae. Gonostylus 101 Μm long; crista dorsalis reduced, megaseta 11 Μm long. HR 1.87, HV 2.33.
Remarks.
Brundin (1947: 29)
gives a wing length of 2.0 mm and an AR of 1.67, while we found a wing length of
1.52 mm
and an AR of 1.56.
