M. rufipes
was described from
French Guiana
and recorded additionally from
Colombia
,
Guyana
, and
Brazil

Maldonado 1990

et al
. 2002
, 2003). This species is restricted to the Amazon basin, and it seems to be associated with
Caesalpiniaceae
species (
Bérenger & PluotSigwalt 1997
). Precise localities from
Colombia
are given for the first time.
