Occurs in the Brazilian states of Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Piauí, Paraná, Roraima, and São Paulo ( Reis et al . 2007 ). Habitat. This species inhabits mesic tropical forest environments, foraging over streams, lakes, rivers, and marshes, and roosting in hollow trees and buildings ( Hood & Pitocchelli 1983 ).The specimens were captured with mist nets in a sandy portion of the edge of the São Domingos River ( 12° 54’ 50.8” S , 47° 34’ 0.7” W ), in Paranã , TO .
