Type material examined : Lectotype ɗ of Hamatomyia denieri Blanchard , designated by Pape (1994) , Santa Fe ( MACN ); paralectotype ɗof Hamatomyia denieri Blanchard , designated by Pape (1994) , Quequén, Salado, Buenos Aires ( MACN ). Remarks : The female of B. ( A. ) denieri was superficially redescribed by Lopes (1990) and no illustrations were provided. In addition, we have not seen female material from Buenos Aires. For this reason we have only included a brief comment about the male in the key.
