The species is named after the type locality Kanas. Remarks. This new species is similar to N. neopratensis Alexander, 1921 in the shape of the clasper and lobe of the gonostylus. It can be separated from the latter by following features: posterior extension of tergite 9 with four projections, clasper of gonostylus with hairy protuberance at basal beak. In N. neopratensis , the posterior extension of tergite 9 has two projections and also horn-like process at lateral margin, and the clasper of the gonostylus has a wide process at basal beak ( Alexander 1935 ; Oosterbroek 1985 ).
