1
, therefore the apical third of wing not fully darkened; yellowish to reddish macrosetae on mesonotum and femora quite common in relation to the black ones; abdomen uniformly covered with golden cinereous tomentum. Apex of epandrium strongly angled downwards, almost at 90 ° (
Fig. 8B
).

Terminalia, lateral view;
C.
Terminalia, dorsal view;
D.
Phallus, lateral and dorsal views;
E.
Hypandrium;
F.
Gonocoxite and gonostylus.
Abbreviations.
cerc, cercus; ej apod, ejaculatory apodeme; epand, epandrium; goncx, gonocoxite; goncx apod, gonocoxal apodeme; gonst, gonostylus; hypd, hypandrium; ph, phallus.
Head.
Antenna black, scape and pedicel black setose ventrally, whitish dorsally, scape about twice as long as pedicel; postpedicel slightly shorter than scape and pedicel together, about 8 times the length of first article of antennal stylus and about 1.2 times the second article; face, frons and vertex golden cinereous tomentose; ocellar setae black, quite long, about 1.5 times the length of scape and pedicel together; mystacal macrosetae black in the upper face, yellowish to reddish bellow; proboscis and labium whitish setose; palpus with black setae; postocular macrosetae mostly black above, yellowish bellow; occiput golden cinereous tomentose, white setose.
Thorax:
Brown, uniformly covered with cinereous golden tomentum, except for the dark paramedial and lateral stripes on mesonotum. Chaetotaxy: Pronotum whitish setose, with two pairs of yellowish macrosetae on antepronotum; postpronotal lobe with black and yellow setae; mesonotum with 2 reddish notopleural macrosetae, the rest black, 1 supra-alar (alongside with several long setae) and 1 postalar; dorsocentral and acrostichal setae black, short and strongly reclinate anteriorly, becoming longer and bristly posterior to transverse suture; scutellar disc with black setae, 2 apical scutellar black macrosetae; uppermost portion of anepisternum black setose; katepisternum and anepimeron yellow setose; katatergal macrosetae mainly yellowish.
Wing.
Similar to
R. apu
sp. nov.
, but microtrichia on apical third only extending to cell r
5
and barely present in m
1
, hence apical third of wing not fully darkened; halter yellowish.
Leg.
Coxae black, golden cinereous tomentose; all femora shining black, hind femur almost as swollen as the anterior and mid ones; tibiae reddish brown, concolorous with tarsi; claws and empodia dark brown, pulvilli yellowish. Chaetotaxy: Coxae and femora whitish setose; macrosetae mostly red in femora, whilst in tibiae they are mainly black; mid femur with 5–6 anteroventral and 3 anterior; hind femur with 4 anterior, 6–8 anteroventral, 5–6 posteroventral, some of them pale and weak, and dorsally 1 subapical on each side; fore tibia with 1 dorsal, basal, 3–4 posterodorsal, and 3 posteroventral, quite long; mid tibia with 1 anterodorsal, 2 dorsal, 1 posterior, 1–2 posteroventral and 2 anteroventral; hind tibia with 1 dorsal, 4 posterodorsal, 4 anterodorsal and 2 anteroventral.
Abdomen.
Dark brown, subshining, almost uniformly golden cinereous tomentose; whitish setose, setae longer on lateral sides; sternite 8 with and apical band of yellowish macrosetae.
Terminalia
(
Figs. 8
B–C). Epandrium shining black, apex strongly angled downwards (about 90°), mostly yellowish setose and with conspicuous spiny yellowish macrosetae on posterior margin present; hypandrium reddish brown, yellowish setose, excision at posterior margin v-like (
Fig. 8E
); gonocoxite concolorous with hypandrium, subtriangular, apex blunt and long, black setose on external margin (
Fig. 8F
); gonostylus curved backwards, hidden by epandrium, as a result phallus is quite visible in lateral view; phallus similar to
R. aiapaec
sp. nov.
, but more angled at apex (
Fig. 8D
).
Female
(
Fig. 9A
). Similar to male, except terminalia (
Fig. 9B
); spermathecae strongly attenuated and coiled apically; common duct rough, as long as arms of furca; expulsory ducts about half the length of capsular ducts, and together a third the length of common duct (
Fig. 9C
).
Etymology.
A masculine noun in apposition, given to Chicamac, a god of the Mochica prehispanic culture which flourished in Northern
Peru
.
Holotype
condition.

Variation:
Given the wide distribution of this species, the observed variation across specimens is marked, es-pecially in the coloration of macrosetae on mesonotum and femora, which vary from yellowish or reddish to black, but the latter never predominates. The coloration of the tibiae is also variable, from reddish brown to yellowish.
