Distribution in Brazil : North Region (RR, PA, AM) ( Drake & Harris 1934 , 1935a ; Kuitert 1942 ; Nieser 1970c ; Pereira & Melo 2007 ). Tachygerrini (1 genus, 4 species) Tachygerris Drake, 1957 (4 species) Comments: Champion (1898) affirmed seeing two female specimens from PE that appeared to belong to T. quadrilineatus ( Champion, 1898 ) . This is the only record of the species from Brazil , and here is considered erroneous, probably corresponding to some of the other species reported for the country. Drake and Harris (1934) recorded the species from Paraguay , which is also a very suspicious record, and not considered valid here. Drake and Harris (1934) probably mistakenly mentioned Paraguay instead of Panama , a country where the occurrence of the species is expected, considering its known distribution from Mexico to Costa Rica .
