Description. Male.
Body large and slender. Fastigium verticis narrower, about 1.5 times as broad as scape. Face with impressed dots (
Fig. 5A
). Ocelli distinct, median ocellus slightly larger than lateral ocelli. Fastigium frontis separated from fastigium verticis by a fine suture.

Pronotum with anterior margin arched, posterior margin nearly straight (
Fig. 5B
); lateral lobes longer than high, anterior angle widely rounded, posterior angle rounded angular, humeral sinus indicated (
Fig. 5C
).
Fore coxae with 1 spine. Fore and middle femora unarmed on ventral surfaces, hind femora with 9–11 internal and 4–6 external spines on ventral surface. Fore and middle tibiae with 5 pairs of ventral spurs, including 1 pair of apical ones, middle tibiae with 1 internal spine on dorsal surface; hind tibiae with 5 internal and 4–5 external spines on dorsal surface, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs, 1 pair of subapical ventral spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs.
Wings developed, far surpassing the apex of abdomen. Second and third abdominal tergites with 2 rows of stridulatory pegs (
Fig. 5D
). Eighth abdominal tergite prolonged backward. Posterior margin of ninth abdominal tergite straight, the lateral margin prolonged into a spine which directing outwards (
Fig. 5E, G
). Tenth abdominal tergite transverse with 1 pair of small cylindrical processes in the middle (
Fig. 5E
). Cerci long. Subgenital plate wide in basal area, the lateral margin convex, posterior margin U-shaped concave with rounded lateral lobes (
Fig. 5I
). Styli depressed inserted at lateral angles of wide basal area and only little surpassing tip of medial process (
Fig. 5I
).
Female.
Seventh abdominal sternite broader than other sternites, on both sides at latero-apical angle swollen, ventral surface with a pair of copulatory depressions. Membranous zone between subgenital plate preceding sternite with fine transverse folds (
Fig. 6E–F
). Subgenital plate with convex lateral margins; posterior margin triangularly concave, the lateral lobes rounded on both sides (
Fig. 6E–F
). Ovipositor moderately long, regularly upcurved and with gradually approaching margins; apices narrow subobtuse (
Fig. 6G
).

). Dorsal surface of head with interrupted semicircular black transverse band, behind area black (sometimes yellow). Pronotum with narrow black margins, disc with longitudinal black band surrounding a tandem yellow spot and a transverse yellow spot (
Figs. 5B
,
6B
). Tegmina semi-transparent with black veins. External surfaces of all femora with blackish spots. Eighth and ninth abdominal tergites ranging from brown to black.Anterior margin of abdominal tergites blackish. Ovipositor blackish brown.

Distribution.
Guizhou
(Nayong).
Discussion.
The new species differs from
Phryganogryllacris longicerca
Li, Liu & Li, 2014
(Chinese name:
K MHDzdz
,
Fig. 7
) by the color pattern of pronotum (
Figs. 5B
,
6B
), the posterior concavity of male subgenital plate nearly U-shaped, wider and deeper (
Fig. 5I
).
Etymology.
Name is derived from Latin
flav
and
stri
, referring to pronotum with longitudinal yellow stripe along the midline (
Figs. 5B
,
6B
).
