Several biological notes on this ground-nesting species are available (

). Shallow nests, a few inches long, were also observed in flat sandy soil in Michigan (
Gibbs 2017
). One was adjacent to a highbush blueberry field in Van Buren County and a second was in a clearing at Rose Lake, Shiawassee County.
