Note.
Species distinguished by its robust size (
11-13 mm
), larger than in other Peruvian species, with the only exception of
B. inca
.
Distribution.
Recorded from the neighboring Depts. Junin and Huancavelica (central
Peru
).
Habitat.
The altitude data reported on the labels (
3,500–4,200 m
a.s.l.) suggest a preference of this species for the Andean grassland.
