Argyresthia ( Argyresthia ) dislocata Meyrick, 1914 ( Figs. 74 , 139 , 195 , 251 , 297 ) Argyresthia dislocata Meyrick, 1914 : 123 ; Clarke, 1965 : 283 . TL: Assam [India] (Khasi Hills). TD: BMNH. Description. Adult ( Fig. 74 ) wingspan 7.0̄ 8.5 mm . Male genitalia ( Figs. 139 , 195 , 251 ): Tuba analis 1.5 times as long as width of valva. Socius conical, covered with 41̄43 scale-like setae, bearing two minute setae apically ( Fig. 251 ). Gnathos not inflated distally, without long thick setae apically. Valva subtriangular, dorsal margin conspicuously convex medially, ventral margin nearly straight; a clump of long setae along distal half of dorsal margin, and a clump of long thick setae near ventral margin. Saccus shorter than width of valva, band-shaped, narrowed before apex, truncated apically. Phallus 2.7 times as long as width of valva, slightly curved at basal 2/11 and distal 4/11 ( Fig. 193 ). Second sternite with about five micro-setae in each row; eighth sternite Y-shaped, arms rather slender. Coremata absent. Female genitalia ( Fig. 297 ): Ovipositor 2.1 times as long as eighth segment. Anterior apophysis slightly shorter than posterior apophysis, bifurcate before middle, with branch not joined. Lamella postvaginalis slightly hourglass-shaped. Antrum funnel-shaped, 1/3 length of eighth segment. Ductus bursae with posterior 1/4 slender, uniform in width, densely spinulate from posterior 1/4 to 3/5, anterior 2/5 widened; ductus seminalis originating from posterior 1/5 of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate, densely denticulate posteriorly; signum with basal plate small, rounded, horns stout, rounded apically, extending obliquely outward, V-shaped. Material examined. Distribution. China ( Hainan ), India . Diagnosis. This species is close to A . ( A .) andrianella Gibeaux, 1983 . It differs in the saccus truncated apically, the phallus 2.7 times as long as the width of the valva in the male genitalia, and the signum with horns broadly rounded apically. In A. ( A .) andrianella the saccus is rounded apically, the phallus is 3.7 times as long as the width of the valva, and the horns are narrowly rounded at apex. Argyresthia ( A. ) dislocata also resembles A. ( A. ) kaoyaiensis superficially, but A. ( A. ) kaoyaiensis has a phallus 4.2 times as long as the width of the valva ( Figs. 138 , 194 ), and the horns of the signum are pointed at the apex ( Fig. 296 ). Remarks. The male and female genitalia of this species are described for the first time; Clarke (1965) first illustrated the male genitalia. Argyresthia ( A .) andrianella and a few other congeners are distributed in Madagascar ( Gibeaux 1983a ). The similarity of A. ( A. ) dislocata to those Madagascar Argyresthia species indicates a close phylogenetic relationship between these taxa.
