The diagnosis, description and measurements of X. baranowskii are redundant with that of the genus. Etymology. The species is named asser its collector, Richard Baranowski, a Swedish entomologist who travelled the world in search of beetles and other insects. Many of his findings yielded important specimens for taxonomic research, with most of his collection and notebooks about his expeditions currently deposited in the Lund Entomological collections, at Lund University in Sweden .
