Redescription
. General colour pale yellowish, with no darker pattern, as described by
Navás (1932)
. Head and pronotum pale (
Fig. 1
), ocelli relatively large with black rings. Forewing length,
11.7 mm
; wing membrane unpigmented, veins pale ochraceous to almost colourless. Legs pale yellowish with black knees. Body and legs relatively hairy.
Remarks. Uniformly pale species of
Anacroneuria
are not common, unless freshly moulted.
Anacroneuria lepida
Klapálek 1923
, from Chapada dos Guimarães, Mato Grosso, is also a pale species and, as A.
genualis
, lacks the abdomen; the
type
is kept in the Museum of Natural History, London. Both should be considered
species inquirenda
.
