As the specimens described as “creeping” lack the morphological characteristics of a typical climber, such as hooks, tendrils, sticky pads, twining stems and stem roots, it is likely that the collector came across individuals behaving atypically in a very humid environment in the swamps. Additional studies are needed to clarify this issue.
