Shell medium to large, yellowish- to purplish-brown. Lower whorls mostly smooth, upper ones smooth to indistinctly costate. Neck not or weakly inflexed. Basal crest well recognizable, peripheral crest weak. Peristome rounded to ovoid, with wide, swollen margin. Lamellae superior and spiralis mostly overlap. In front view lamella inferior variably emerged, broadly-bent subcolumellaris usually visible. Lunella dorsal to dorsal-dorsolateral, fused to or separate from the basalis. Lunella complex with the basalis can form a lambda-like structure. Subclaustralis always shorter than the basalis, sulcalis strong. Anterior plica superior fused to or separate from the lunella complex. Clausilium plate well visible through the aperture. Distinguishable from the similar

<paragraph pageId="5" pageNumber="56">Head and pronotum irregularly wrinkled, impunctate, elytra with even intervals densely punctate, odd ones smooth; microsculptural meshes densely isodiametric on elytra, irregular on head and pronotum.</paragraph>
<paragraph pageId="5" pageNumber="56">Head moderate, as long as wide, eyes moderate, strongly prominent, frons rather flat, vertex convex, neck well-marked; labrum deeply emarginate at frontal margin, sexsetose, clypeus more or less square, bisetose, base processed in middle; palpi normal; maxillar palpomeres 3 and 4 subequal, labial palpomere 2 slightly longer than palpomere 3; ligula narrow, bisetose at apex; mentum and submentum each with a pair of setae; palpiger short, with a long seta at base; antennae extended to base of elytra, densely pubescent from basal 1/3 of antennomere 4; antennomere 3 as long as antennomere 4.</paragraph>

, however the occipital carina in all specimens is at least shortly interrupted at vertex, and not complete but weak at vertex as described originally. The two spots on terga vary in size. In some females it is darker, not so contrasting, while in others it is larger, with the T2 spot reaching apical margin of tergite. In some males the spots tends to meet and form one single irregular elongate spot. In all specimens the gena is

brown but the borders with mandibles are light brown.
