+Shell internal, smooth, whitish translucid, oval; aperture wide. Body whitish. Rachidian tooth absent, one rounded inner lateral tooth with developed, sharp denticulation along inner edge. Gizzard not surrounded by muscle fibre; with two paired and one smaller unpaired spindle-shaped plates; all with wide deep holes.
