), a hypothesis supported here. Our collections from southeastern Victoria Island (det. R. Elven) and Baffin Island were identified as this species based on the character combination of long pedicels (10-20 mm) with glandular villous pubescence (not very short retrorse), flowers long-exserted above the leaves, sepals glandular villous basally, and leaf blade margins ciliate proximally (at least sparsely) (

). We found that pedicel length varied among collections and was sometimes shorter than the range given for

; however, other characters were consistent with our identification. Pedicels are 10-20 mm (
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="20" pageNumber="43">Saarela et al. 2776</emphasis>
) and 5-10 mm long (

) on the Baffin Island collections, and 9-12 mm long (
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="20" pageNumber="43">Gillespie et al. 7721</emphasis>
) on the Victoria Island collection (flowers were still in bud with pedicels up to 6 mm long on
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="20" pageNumber="43">Gillespie et al. 8136</emphasis>
). Plants were small and tufted, and were growing in moss on moist to wet riparian meadows on Victoria Island and in mossy tundra at base of slopes or cliffs on Baffin Island.

(habitus Fig. 6a) may be distinguished from congeners by the following combination of characters: body length 3.3-3.7 mm; head, pronotum and elytra slightly glossy with dense microsculpture; pronotum broadest at middle and narrowest at apex and base; elytra at suture as long as or slightly shorter than pronotum, with dense punctation similar to that on pronotum; antennal articles 7-10 moderately transverse; male tergite VIII with four small apical teeth, all short and rounded and some additional tooth-like subapical structures (Fig. 6c); median lobe of aedeagus with straight and short tubus narrowly rounded apically and sometimes slightly hooked at apex (Fig. 6b); spermatheca with short pear-shaped capsule, and small apical invagination, stem long, straight medially and looped posteriorly, with slightly swollen apical part (Fig. 6e).
