This species is known to occur onlyin India, from where it was originally described on the basis of three females and one male, and later reported by

, who provided measurements of two females and two males. The Vietnamese material herein examined perfectly fits the general morphology of the type material (females) (unfortunately, male was not collected in Vietnam), especially concerning the genital system. Moreover, the morphometrics of the two Indian populations and the Vietnamese one largely overlap in spite of the few number of available specimens in the three cases. The ranges of several ratios and measurements, however, are significantly widened, for instance c = 50-70 vs 53-55 in type material, V = 47-57 vs 52-54, etc. Thus, no reasonable uncertainty persists on the identity of this material.

<paragraph pageId="24" pageNumber="53">Body medium-sized, dark brown to black, pronotum testaceous to brown and basal third of elytra orange (Fig. 10). Head small, including eyes slightly narrower than frontal margin of pronotum, antennal tubercles small. Eyes hemispherically prominent, eye diameter 1.7 times frontal interocular distance. Antennae compressed, pubescent, length of antennomere 3 0.7 times antennomere 2. Pronotum transverse, 1.9 times wider than long at midline, anterior margin almost straight, with marked anterior angles, lateral margins straight, posterior margin of pronotum bisinuate, posterior angles acutely projected, surface of disc weakly glabrous, finely punctuate, with long pubescence (Fig. 25). Elytra almost parallel-sided, elytra 3.5 times longer than width at humeri; slightly widened posteriorly, widest at apical fourth, elytral costae inconspicuous. Legs compressed, with dense pubescence. Male genitalia with short rounded parameres bearing slender membranous processes; phallus curved, phallobase wide, deeply emarginate (Figs 71-72).</paragraph>

<paragraph pageId="0" pageNumber="1">Diagnosis.</paragraph>
<paragraph pageId="0" pageNumber="1">Specimen small-bodied, short, with 23 segments and 10 pairs of elytrophores. All elytra missing. Prostomium bilobed, median and lateral antennae absent, frontal filaments absent, facial tubercle absent. Jaws with lateral serrations, pharynx not everted, thus number of terminal papillae not observed. Palps with small palpophores, palps of similar length to tentacular cirri. Tentaculophores achaetous. Notopodia shorter than neuropodia, with elongate acicular lobes. Notochaetae slenderer than neurochaetae; notochaetae with subdistal rows of fine spines, neurochaetae flattened to concave, serrated along both margins. Ventral cirri from segment 3 inserted medially on neuropodia. Nephridial papillae not observed. Ventral keel absent posteriorly.</paragraph>

The specimen is damaged and fragile, and most notochaetae and all elytra are missing. Two genera share the characters which distinguish our specimen (10 pairs of elytra, median and lateral antennae absent):
