One syntype (with prothorax missing) in ZMHB (Bernd Jaeger pers. comm. 2007). Etymology. The specific name honors August Otto Theodor Tellkampf [1812-1883]. Born in German, Tellkampf immigrated to the United States at the age of 27 where he practiced medicine in Cleveland and New York.
