Length 5 lines.-Head and thorax anteriorly obscure red, otherwise black and shining; the flagellum and base of the scape ferruginous. Head very large, much wider than the thorax; the ocelli very minute and distinct. Thorax rounded in front, truncate behind, and gradually narrowed and compressed, being somewhat wedge-shaped; divided above by two transverse sutures. Abdomen ovate, covered with pale golden pubescence; the node of the peduncle incrassate, above emarginate.</paragraph>
