Despite extensive surveying, no specimens were found in the numerous artificial tunnels or underground water reserves dug in the limestone rocks of the island. The complete absence of eyes and pigmentation, the lack of external records and the finding of the species only in the deepest areas of the caves identify

Ocelli present between eyes, color light brown; anterior to ocelli, two triangular light brown areas are present without granulations or setae. Abdomen dark grey, almost black dorsally and dirty yellow ventrally. Legs brown with yellowish spots and bands. Coxae dirty yellow ventrally. Leg I joints (specimen with carapace 3.7 long): 3.45+1.65+3.25+3.0+1.5. Femur I with 3 dorsal, 3 pro- and 2 retrolateral spines. Patella I with 1pro- and 1 retrolateral spines. Tibia I with 5 pairs of ventral (apical not counted), 1 pro- and 1 retrolateral spines. Metatarsus with 2 pairs of ventral, 1 pro- and 1 retrolateral spines.
