Color of mesosoma: mesoscutellum and propodeum black, metascutellar spine brown, otherwise red. Color of head: except interantennal process, black. Setation of torular triangle: present. Continuity of torular triangle and central keel: torular triangle opened dorsally, not continuous reduced central keel. Color of interantennal process: yellowish brown. Setation of frons: transverse strip directly above interantennal process glabrous, otherwise setose. Sculpture of dorsal frons: strigose. Sculpture of vertex: strigose.</paragraph>

). The biology of the species is poorly understood. According to

, the larvae feed on the roots of various grass species. The beetles occur at altitudes between 600-1,800 m a.s.l. The adults are active from the end of April to the beginning of June.

<paragraph pageId="34" pageNumber="93">Only a single male (Fig. 14A) and female were collected in a mountain steppe habitat. The plot (Fig. 14B) was mainly covered with medium-high grass. Such a small number of observed individuals may indicate the end of the appearance of this species.</paragraph>
