. Our freshly collected material from Germany morphologically matches the reared specimens as well as the literature. All specimens we examined are associated with sequences, except for CNCHYM 01023 which was collected in 1938. The barcode sequences of the reared specimens are short (107 bp) and all of these specimens were collected between 1973 and 1985. They do not 100% match our sequences (3 bp difference). However, since the COI sequences of the historical material are very short, the species occurs in several neighbouring countries of Germany, the host is widely distributed in Europe and occurs in Germany, and our specimens match the morphological concept of the species, we conclude that our specimens fit our current concept of this species despite the currently somewhat conflicting DNA barcodes. In the historical literature there are other host records from several additional species of
