was described based on a single male specimen from Mallorca. According to the original description, this species closely resembles
<taxonomicName lsidName="M. pseudohirtipes" pageId="0" pageNumber="89" rank="species" species="pseudohirtipes">M. pseudohirtipes</taxonomicName>
and can be distinguished from this species by longer antennae (antennomeres
<normalizedToken originalValue="V–X">V-X</normalizedToken>
two times longer than wide) and different shape of parameres (Fig. 8) (

). All characters mentioned in the original description suggest that this taxon is conspecific with

; unfortunately, the authors did not have the opportunity to study the type.
