AMNH 560915 is the specimen bearing the Rothschild type label, and the Ansorge label is marked ‘‘Psalid. nitens rothschildi (which is marked out) centralis Neum. Typus’’ in Neumann’s hand. It was undoubtedly Neumann’s intent that this specimen should be the type, and it has been so considered, both in the Rothschild Collection and at AMNH.
