This species has been recorded in both temporary and permanent environments located from

a.s.l., with water temperature ranging between 8 and 15 ºC, in alkaline waters (pH: 8.29.4), with conductivity values between 808 and 2200 μS/cm, high water transparency levels and sediments with low organic matter concentrations.
