<paragraph blockId="1.[770,1392,929,1955]" pageId="1" pageNumber="160">D e f i n i ç ã o − C o m p o s t o p o r e s p é c i e s d e P h y l l o m e d u s i n a e d e p e q u e n o p o r t e (C RC combinado das espécies entre 31,0-46,5mm em m a c h o s, 4 0,0- 5 3, 0m m e m f ê m e a s); d e n t e s vomerianos ausentes; glândulas parotóides pequenas, indistintas; pele lisa no dorso, granulosa no ventre; apêndice calcâneo e “flap” anal ausentes; dedos, em ordem de tamanho crescente, I &lt;II &lt;IV &lt;III, não palmados nem fimbriados; discos adesivos dos dedos pouco desenvolvidos; dedo I oponível aos outros; artelhos, em ordem de tamanho crescente, I I&lt;I I I&lt;I&lt;V&lt;I V o u I I&lt;I&lt;I I I&lt;V&lt;I V, a r t e l h o I I sensivelmente menor que os outros; artelhos não palmados nem fimbriados, com discos adesivos pouco desenvolvidos; artelhos I e II oponíveis aos outros; pés ligeiramente retorcidos, possibilitando agarrar e andar lentamente sobre o substrato. Ovos depositados em ninhos formados por folhas dobradas e enroladas de arbustos e de pequenas árvores, acima da superfície da água; girinos com boca em posição anterior, sem funil, circundada por papilas em uma franja dérmica amplamente interrompida na margem anterior e às vezes também ligeiramente interrompida na margem posterior; fórmula dentária 2(2)/3(1), sendo a terceira série inferior de dentículos menor que as demais; tubo anal curto, preso à nadadeira ventral. Premaxilares com dentes, processos alares dirigidos póstero-dorsalmente, quase verticais, processo palatino em ponta; maxilares estreitos, com dentes, contactam os premaxilares, nasais, pterigóides e quadratojugais; nasais largamente separados entre si e dos frontoparietais; fontanela muito grande,</paragraph>
<paragraph blockId="2.[188,810,328,1027]" pageId="2" pageNumber="161">aproximadamente ovóide; palatinos reduzidos, sustentados apenas por cartilagem, não contactados entre si ou com qualquer outro elemento ósseo; prevomerianos igualmente isolados, sem dentes; pterigóides pouco desenvolvidos; ramos zigomáticos dos esquamosais curtos, rombos, largamente separados dos maxilares; ramos ótico e ventrais dos esquamosais longos, pouco dilatados; columela presente; côndilos occipitais pequenos, bem separados entre si medianamente; mandíbulas sem dentes. Oito vértebras presacrais com apófises laterais desenvolvidas, as das vértebras III e IV pouco mais estreitas que as apófises sacrais, que são expandidas, em forma aproximadamente triangular; sacro com articulação bicondilar com o uróstilo, que não é expandido, mas apresenta uma crista dorsal baixa e pequenas apófises laterais anteriores. Clavículas e procoracóides desenvolvidos; esterno largo, cartilaginoso; omosterno ausente. Mão com fórmula falangeal 2- 2-3-3; prepólex 2; falanges terminais em ponta curva. Pé com fórmula falangeal 2-2-3-4-3; sesamóide interno pequeno, arredondado.</paragraph>
