with some modifications). Body smooth and shiny, compact, rarely slender. Head narrow, truncated at the front. Coxal plates generally small in size, coxal plate II conceal oral area, with rounded front sides, coxal plate III more or less extended distally and transversely truncated at the end of coxal plate IV. Mandible without palp. Maxilla I with reduced inner plate, with 2-segmented palp. Maxilla II with reduced inner plate, with 2-segmented or fused to outer plate. Maxilliped with very small and narrow inner plates clearly separated into its base, with completely reduced outer plates, palps elongated and 4-articulated, distal articles form a “claw”. Palmar region of gnathopods II with long setose setae on the edge, expanded, palm oblique, carpus shorter than propodus. Gnathopods II large, differing in males and females, meral joint triangularly produced downwards. Peraeopod IV with expanded coxal plates (indication of the family
