refers to several specimens from Sakardara tank, but provides measurements clearly referred to a single specimen only (e.g., total length, 115 μm).

Specimens of this species found in Europe are of bigger size (i.e., total length 150-200 μm) and always have been described to have scales. Probably aware of these differences, Visvesvara himself stated that “… 
<emphasis id="64CCFC5C5719FFA754BEFAE0FDABD913" box="[401,555,1304,1329]" italics="true" pageId="12" pageNumber="344">my specimens</emphasis>
(only) 
<emphasis id="64CCFC5C5719FFA75754FAEFFA8CD913" box="[635,1292,1303,1330]" italics="true" pageId="12" pageNumber="344">closely resemble to the species described by Gosse (1851)”</emphasis>
. In our opinion the presence of this taxon in 
<collectingCountry id="2EAF60DE5719FFA75728FAC3FDC1D977" box="[519,577,1339,1365]" name="India" pageId="12" pageNumber="344">India</collectingCountry>
should be considered to be solely provisional, as additional material is need to clearly confirm its presence here. In their review of the Indian gastrotrich fauna,
