can be distinguished from other species of the genus by the entirely blackish pronotum decorated with small ochraceous spots at humeral angles; irregular brownish spots covering most of the corium; confluent pronotal callosities; and a narrow impunctate band at the posterior edge of pronotum, widened at humeral angles.
<paragraphid="3AC82CBEB579594BE0BB266BFFE20042"pageId="0"pageNumber="139">Distributed across New Guinea and adjacent islands. The species inhabits mostly rainforests, but records from mangroves and grasslands are available too.</paragraph>
